Hey, so we’re talking about Jones County, Mississippi. A teenager got hurt in a shooting at the South Mississippi Fair in Laurel.There was a shooting at the fair on Saturday, October 19.Jones County investigators reported that Akealeis McKensie, 18, and Jailen Shade, also 18, both from Laurel, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault related to the shooting.The guy who got hurt was taken to a nearby hospital and is doing okay as of Sunday, October 20.
“The officers with PROtec Security caught both suspects just minutes after the shooting, after chasing them on foot.” So, both suspects got picked up by JCSD deputies and are now locked up at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility, waiting for their first court appearance in Jones County Justice Court,” said Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin.
